Artist History
Scot moved to New York City from Tucson, Arizona in 1996. His training in classical and jazz music gave him an amazing sense of melody, while his early experiences with folk and rock and roll set him on his current direction. Its hard to connect with people and sometimes the distance grows too wide to bear. Music allows the walls to come down, the barriers to collapse. Modern music has grown so complicated and overblown that, for the most part, that ability to connect people is washed away in noise. I strive for simplicity and connection, in the music and in the words. The desert where I grew up silently waits, and quiet gives the loud parts structure, the way the midday sun makes the shadows deepen into black. Shadows and light, clarity and feedback.... come on in..... |
