    Artist History
Plan B is a power rock trio with a blistering stage performance and sound that belies their young age. In 1997, the brothers Frank and Phil (then ages 13 and 11) hooked up with two female musicians to form a pop band called The Megatones. The Megatones played feverishly for two years, amassing over 100 shows. They were regulars at the Irvine Spectrum, and performed at some pretty neat places like Paramount Studios, the Block, and outside the Improv. The Megatones achieved three No.1 hits on the MP3.com charts, and were actually approached by Arista Records and VH1. Over this period the brothers often performed with other friends, offering an alternate punk and hard rock venue. By mid 1999, Plan B had become its own thing. One of their first originals, "Into The Fray", stayed at the No.1 spot on the MP3.com Progressive Metal charts (as an instrumental!) for over a month, and one of their surf-influenced songs "California Christmas" was featured in the holiday edition of the Delta/United 1999 Sky Disc CD. Another of Plan B's originals, "Anymore", took first place in the Orange County Dept. of Education's Y2K Music Contest. Plan B did a lot of club shows in 1999, including numerous performances at The Coach House and the Galaxy Theatre. These days, you can still find Plan B at various Orange County clubs and at all-age locations like the Bamboo Terrace, The Block, and Hogue Barmichaels.
