Artist description
MIRACLE BABY is a guitar/bass/drums trio playing
pop songs laced with rock, jazz, punk and
anything else that seems useful at the time.
The core of Miracle baby’s sound is lead
singer Fiia McGann, who can take it high, low,
bad or glad, which is helpful when you’re
singing about everything from motorcycles to
house pets. Meanwhile, the band churns
underneath, as Fiia’s precise bass lines
neatly punctuate Sanjaya Krishna’s eight-armed
drumming and John Sullivan’s zero-to-sixty
guitar work. |

Artist History
A long time ago in Seattle, Fiia answered an
ad John placed in the Rocket, Seattle’s rock mag.
They teamed up with drummer Kathy Carlisle and
called themselves Animal Kingdom. After Kathy
left in 1994 to join Matchless, Fiia was given
Sanjaya’s number by a friend. He had the job in
about five minutes into the audition. Since
then, they’ve been playing the Seattle club scene,
working around Fiia’s busy schedule playing bass
with Seattle rock heroes Goodness. Miracle Baby’s
long awaited debut CD, “There’s 1 In Every Crowd”,
was released in December of 1998. |

Press Reviews
“With one foot stomping on the Pacific Northwest’s typical indie stance and the other rooted in rock tradition, Miracle Baby swings and sways with an unlikely bravado and individuality.” -WILLAMETTE WEEK, 8/12/98
“Pop music that’s somewhat irresistible. All in all, a potent mix. ” -THE ROCKET, 2/24/99
“The songs on this Seattle trio’s full-length debut, There’s 1 In Every Crowd, lunge and pirouette, melding sassy pop leanings with punk-style vibrancy, and adding a dash of laid-back lounge.” -SEATTLE WEEKLY, 12/14/98
