Artist History
Julian Daze was born out of a need to write and perform original songs. It was the fall of 1979 and founding members Lonnie Swindell and Brian Bell started to put the band together from scratch with no players and no equipment. In early 1980 they enlisted the creative guitar talents of Mike Miller with whom they both had previously worked with 5 years earlier in a band called Tom Terrific. Brian had also recently worked a short stint with Mike in a band called Aspex. The three formed the triumverate that became the creative framework of the band. Eventually two other members of Aspex (Ron Chrismer, and Charley Bass)would round out the quintet. They persevered numerous personel changes and adversity to become a formidable force on the DC/Baltimore/Northern VA music scene, playing only their own original material... For members of the band, The name "Julian Daze" will always embody that creative spirit that fueled them onward in those early years. Julian Daze and the PHOTON KARMA is a continuation of that creative force. |
