Artist description dune.tx is a Houston garage pop band. Mixing catchy hooks with fuzzy guitars. The band styles itself after late 60's garage rock bands and the quirkiness of the era.

Artist History dune.tx formed in 1993 in Houston,Texas. Chris S. took out an ad looking for "groovy players" and eventually met up with Rusty and Tim. Soon after the new trio began playing locally, dune.tx would end up landing opening slots for acts like Better Than Ezra and Goo Goo Dolls. Dune.Tx then recorded their 1st Ep "Where Everything 's Groovy" in 1996 and tour the U.S. a few times. Fast forward to today. The band has completed its new full length album "Machowagon" which is the strongest Dune.Tx material to date.The new album features more catchy tunes with fuzzy guitars and quriky lyrics. A new tour is currently booked for the summer, and the band will be showcasing songs from the new album. The single Six-Five has been getting airplay on college radio since Dec. of 99 and has been used as background music on a T.V show. Keep your eyes peeled for Dune.Tx in a town near you.
