Their sound works this heavy-full toned Boyd led guitar style well, combining with Schulz's bass and Hanks' drums well, all setting off Charlie's vocals extremely well, working the entire package to push the underlying and highly effective attitude to the forefront of the entire landscape. Really, this sound and style works quite well, marking Charlie's pissed off vocals well then breaking the entire direction to the melody verse / chrous transition, giving some subtle hooks and memorable lyrics all while delivering their intended heavy punch. This band has just started yet they have already created some solid tunes and have a live show presence that is not overly dramatic but effective enough to draw an audience. This was a solid to impressive showing but probably just one stepping stone along their long path ahead as Shovelfist. This band will continue to climb steadily over time without a doubt.
