Artist History Though Shairah’s nationality is Arabian, Egyptian, Malaysian with a hint of Potuguese, she was born in London, England. She moved to Vancouver, Canada at the age of two. From shining in elementary school choirs to selling out concerts, Shairah has always gained the public’s attention. Shairah’s major influences towards her vocal style are Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughn, Billy Holiday… the list goes on. She absorbs techniques quickly and puts them to use in her own vocal arrangements. Shairah is capable of singing harmonies and melodies effortlessly and incorporates this ability into her provocative lyrics.
