Artist description Melissa Baughman was born on July 20, 1981, and was raised in a small town in Ohio. She began dancing at age six and continued through high school taking lessons at various dance studios in northwest Ohio. In March, 2000, Melissa traveled to L.A. to participate in the Dance Excellence workshop with the Bryan Community School of Dance. Melissa is mostly experienced in musical theater, as she has had leading roles in musicals such as Little Shop of Horrors, The Wiz, and Brigadoon. Now attending college, Melissa is a choral education major, and studies with Dr. Ann Corrigan. She has learned to play several instruments including the piano, trumpet, french horn, clarinet, and saxaphone. Melissa has a wide interest in all styles of music, and her role models include Madonna, Faith Hill, and Christina Aguilera.
