Artist description
Esther, more than your great aunt's name, is full-frontal rock-and-roll. With influences from Hüsker Dü to Television Esther pounds out a
raw indie rock sound mixed with a raucous beat. Esther puts on an intense live show full of sound and fury.
William Crane leads Esther with a mix of inventive lyrics, crystalline guitar, and a loud holler that pushes
his audience to the brink of frenzy. Lead guitar player, Paul Mealey shares song writing responsibilities;
his whirling guitar bobs and weaves creating a lush cacophony of sound. Cena Pohl's bass punches an
aural counterpoint to William and Paul's guitar work while her vocals hauntingly reverberate underneath
Esther's songs. Nuanced and solid, Rafi Harris frames the soaring melodies with a driving beat. |
