Artist History
Originally, The Echo People were called Ez Cheez.
The lineup included; Curtis - Bass, Shane - Guitar
Scott - Guitar, Brett - Drums. They started
playing music together when Shane and Curtis went
on a kayaking trip together the summer of 1999,
and Shane discovered Curtis played bass. Shane
wanted to just sing in a band with him. So
together, Shane, Curtis, and Curtis' brother Scott
started looking for a drummer. Scott's friend
Brett was that drummer. They wrote some songs
like Fishin for Chicken, and Toaster Pastries
but after a horrific gig on halloween 1999,
Curtis, Shane and Scott knew they needed a new
drummer. Scott noodled around on Brett's drums
so Shane and Curtis could practice. Before long
Scott realized he was really good, and wanted to
play drums for the band. So they stopped
communication with Brett, and Scott bought his own
drums. Together, the trio turned out over 25
songs in a 2-year period. Finally, in 2002 Rob
joined the band, and they changed their name to
The Echo People. |
