Artist History
BigMcLargeHuge formed in the summer of 2001. Seemed like it should have happened sooner but oh well, here we are now.
Sam G. used to play in a band called "The Followers" with some friends from middle school. It was a ska/punk outfit that played a lot of locals only shows around Denver, Boulder and Ft. Collins but the band never really took off. Sam L and Sam G went to high school together and during that time Sam L and Sam G's bands would meet up along the way to play shows together but in different bands. "I remember seeing Sam Larson at shows man. He was a total dickweed always trying to hit on those middle school girls, but man, could he rip on the bass." Sam G once said of Sam L.
Eventually Sam G and L got together to play with other kids who played guitar and sang about girls. The formed a "band" with a kid named David and called themselves a bunch of names including "Badfish" and "Herban Legends," but that never panned out mostly because of the herb that was in Herban Legends. Sam G and Nick played in their high school Jazz ensemble but never actually hooked up to form a band of their own until one day Sam L called Sam G up and said: "dude, you wanna jam with me and my brother?" Hence the formation of BigMcLargeHuge.
Sam G was locked in with another band called "Jonny DoubleShot" and the only live show BigMcLargeHuge has played thus far was with them at the Back Alley Lounge in Ft Collins. Since then, Nick has written many a song about girls and albinos, and albino girls and such. During the band members winter breaks from college they managed to get together and record an 8 song EP titled "Believe Me" which was released in March of 2002.
