Artist description
Shiver is a hard-hitting, raw bar rock band from Kansas City. Founded in 1999, the group has worked up to headliner status at KC clubs such as The Hurricane, Nieners, and America's Pub; plus opening for national acts like Ratt. Shiver was chosen from 40 bands as the 2001 Kansas City/Lawrence area representative in the Jim Beam Rock Band Search and competed at the Hard Rock Cafe in Denver in July of that year. In June 2002, the band released their debut CD, Under Skin, which has been called "a collection of infectious hard rock tunes" by critics. Shiver has been a finalist twice in 2002 Battle of the Band competitions and was selected for Helzberg's 2003 "Diamonds in the Rough" college CD. The band is currently playing electric and acoustic shows across the Midwest. |

"Shiver's Under Skin is best served with some cold longnecks in a sweaty rock club. The album is a collection of infectious, no frills, hard rock tunes. It also passed the car stereo test -- roll your windows down and check these guys out." -Rockkansas.com by Scott Alisoglu - 7/2002
"These Kansas City boys know how to rock, with loud, driving guitars and a lead singer with a voice as scruffy as a five o'clock shadow." -Jim Beam |
