Artist description
Red Element is a rising Dallas band with a groove and melody that will draw you into their aggressive style and sound. They have been described as having an unpredictable explosive groove with funk-oriented bass, catchy, meaningful lyrics, flowing samples, crunchy guitars and tribal style drumbeats. Performing in the North Texas market, they have rapidly picked up pace and spread their music and energy behind them.
Even though Red Element has only been together since 2001, they have gained national recognition several times. Most recently, they won the regional finals in the “Rolling Rock’s Road To Town Fair” best unsigned band competition sponsored by Hard Rock Caf, Virgin Records, Rolling Rock Beer and Beer.com. The band’s first single entitled “Headlights” obtained the number three position on AudioRealm.com’s competition after only one week of airplay. As a result, this gained them worldwide airplay. Red Element was nominated as being one of Dallas’ best new bands in the 2002 music awards for clear channel’s rock station 97.1 the Eagle. Red Element has also opened up for national act Earshot. They have locally been heard on KEGL’s Local Show and the Rubber Room. In studio interviews with Robert Miguel from 97.1 The Eagle’s Rubber Room has spawned two new singles that are getting a lot of airplay. The first is “Sleepwalk” and the newest hit, which is entitled “Silver”, can be heard almost weekly. Another Dallas DJ who is spinning Red Element’s songs is Chaz Knight formerly of KYNG and now part of the growing online radio station at musicians. net. Red Element can be heard across the state on several other stations as well.
