Artist description
Concise is a four piece melodic rock band hailing from Oldsmar, Fl. Driven by their love of playing live music and putting on a intense live show, Concise has released their newest six song EP entitled “Prevail."
Ranging from multi-part harmonies to gut-felt screams, “Prevail” could be described as post-hardcore, pop punk, melodic rock, and yet at the same time none of these things. What “Prevail” does represent is an intense, guitar-driven, dynamic recording of songs that will flat out move you.
The early beginnings of Concise started in 1999 when Hunter Schulz (vocals, guitar), Mike Massrock (skins) and Dave Murray (bass, vocals) began writing songs as The Fungi’s. After a two year tenure, the group decided to hang up their efforts due to lifes obstacles. During this time, Dave began playing with Tampa Bay area pop punk stalwarts, Race To Win. And after a successful two year-long stint with Race To Win, Dave and the core of The Fungi’s reassembled under a new, and decidedly less cheesy name, and solidified the group’s line-up with the addition of Matt “Stiff Richard” Langner on guitar.
With the beginning of Concise’s busiest year to date, Concise will be hitting the road in support of their new EP and will be bringing their unique brand of rock to your eyes and ears to a city near you soon.
