Artist description
"Yung Blud's gone be 'La Haine' in violeNt"
Yung Blud formed in late 2001 to push forward the new crop of young bucks reppin' North London "bringing heat to the streets comparable to nuclear fusion". Combining raw intense lyricism with youthful enthusiasm and murderous, sometimes experimental beats they're not afraid to tackle serious contemporary social issues like politics and racism or straight battle with punchline-heavy metaphors and verbal vagary.
The line-up comprises:
Kaotic (CEO Arcane Knowledge Records/rapper/deejay) "reels off quasi-futuristic battle raps at ease" while "bringin the conscious without the conscience". Equally comfortable with lyrical jabs and simile-packed battle-rapping as well as with complex lyrical topicals dealing with all our social ills. Kaotic (and his various aliases) is truly a versatile rapper, also adept at pushing wordplay wit along the lines of rappers like J-Zone.
Lyrical Gangsta (emcee) holds his own with his relatively simple, accomplished flow and delivery, enabling him to spit lyrical flmaes over anything and "burn tracks like lightning". Lyrical G caters for the masses in certain ways, sticking with the raw emcee blueprint of a classic old skool flow mixed with intelligent and knowledgeable lyrics touching on topics from "Fake Emcees" to racism and back again across a wide spectrum.
SchottGun (wannabe emcee/clown) was introduced by this rap game by Kaotic. SchottGun is variously known as "Kaotic's whore" and thinks he can spit about "thug life" and his homie 2Pac but fails miserably.
"There's a thin line between kicking knowledge and kicking heads firmly into the gutter. We've just drawn it..." |
