Artist description
Pipeline was formed in September 2000. Tony and Lee were the first two members in the band and were soon joined by Nick, Steve and Martin after answering advert in free ads. The bands musical influences are split into two, Tony and Steve draw their influences from Oasis, Cast, Small Faces, OCS and The Stone Roses. While Nick, Martin and Lee are into Nirvana, Matchbox 20, King Adora, and Green Day, this has worked well in the writing of the songs, which are often completely different.
After 6 months of rehearsing Pipeline played their first gig in Nicks home town of Glastonbury, about 20 people travelled up from Torquay and the night was a great success. A month after we headlined a night at The Piazza in Torquay where we now play a monthly set.
After doing several gigs we went to The Edge studios in Plymouth where we recorded our first EP, Starting Here… This EP had a launch night in The Piazza that was a huge success and the sales of Starting Here… were better than we hoped for. Then the next step was for the band to build their own website where you can download our music and see photos from gigs www.thepipe-line.co.uk
