Artist description
At 25 years of age, Ryan Kickland has toured the Midwest, released three solo albums, and released an additional four albums with the highly respected fusion/progressive rock band, Animalcule. As a solo artist, or as the lead guitarist and vocalist for Animalcule, his music is a constant demonstration of his creative vitality. His first and second solo efforts, “Rosenhort” and “3D Collapsing Star” were an introduction to his far-out, electric, experimental style of songwriting. These records were peppered with odd noises, insane subject matter and general sonic madness. His third and latest solo release, “Living Stones,” is a far different approach to songwriting for Kickland. “Living Stones” is an entirely acoustic folk album, inspired by life in the Midwest. It’s fourteen tracks range from songs about train-hopping and homelessness, to political and humanitarian themes. Ryan is currently touring and recording with Animalcule, as well as recording a new folk album. Whatever mood you happen to be in, Ryan Kickland (or Animalcule) has the music to accommodate you. Ryan hopes that you will enjoy his musical offerings and take the time to express your own interests and emotions in some type of artistic fashion....
