Artist description
Drawing from personal stories, shared expierences, and hear say, Joshua writes music that is bold and fresh. In a world that is constantly thinking outside the box, Joshua is sick of that metaphor. Wheather working with his band, The Hand Merchants, or solo, Joshua delivers an honest show and knows what an audience wants...free stuff! |

Artist History
Originally from Southern California, Joshua has been writing and performing music in Northern California for over a decade now. "That is a long time to be writing," I mention to Joshua as he tries to pry the top off a brand new jar of olives. "Yes it is, but you know, I really like olives and it is a price I am willing to pay." "What?" I ask. "Well, I just love the litte buggers! They are just so darn tasty." At this point I am confused. I thought this interview was going to be about his music. I try to get back on track. "There is this question of the new album. I here that you have been having some difficulty in the studio? What gives?" Joshua grins, "This is so true, and I must apologize. I didn't know that the kalmatas were already pitted. This really makes them less enjoyable. They just get too soggy!" There is a long pause as he grimaces at the purplish fruit between his fingers. I decide to take leave of the interview to return to my motor home. There are far better things to do with my time. |
