Artist description
Edward Martin is a composer of both contemporary, classical acoustic and electronic music. He was born in 1976 and grew up in Bethlehem, PA. He has written for wind ensemble, orchestra, smaller chamber groups, duos, soloists, and electronic media. Mr. Martin has been fortunate to study with such distinguished composers as Steven Andrew Taylor, Scott Wyatt, Dan Welcher, Donald Grantham, James Paul Sain, and Budd Udell. He holds a Masters degree in Compostion from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelors degree in Composition from The University of Florida. He is currently living in Champaign, IL with his wife Amy working towards a doctoral degree in music composition at the University of Illinois. Mr. Martin is also active as a pianist. |
