Artist description
Sawdogs combine harmonic melodies with a rich
layering of guitars and keyboards set against a
solid backbeat.At times sparse,often powerful,
the instrumentaion perfectly compliments the
crisp song structures and hook-laden choruses.
The songs unfold like allegories, often painting
pictures of seemingly unbridgeable distances of
both the road and the heart. From rain soaked
Vancouver to a dive bar in Montreal, from the
desolation of the prairies to the treachery of
the 401,isolation and travel provide a
metaphorical glimpse into the hopefulness and
the despair that often blend to colour life's
real journey.
