Artist description
Dammit Jim! is not a band for the 90's that would be too limiting. Made obvious by an amazing cross section of attendees, a live Dammit Jim! performance captures the mass appeal. By energizing their audience with songs that reflect the odd, funny nuances of life, Dammit Jim! entertains at a new level. |

Artist History
Originally formed in 1988 in the Santa Cruz mountains by guitarist Sean Greedy and drummer Zac Farmer, the band went through many members and names before Sean, Zac, keyboardist Ian Jones, and singer Ian McDonough became Dammit Jim! in 1992. (Yes, no one is named Jim) Dammit Jim! played mostly cover tunes and some originals but upon the exit of the keyboardist, bassist Mike Lyons joined the band and Dammit Jim! fully evolved to an all original band who's songs reflect the odd, funny nuances of life.
Dammit Jim! quickly became a Santa Cruz favorite and broke out into the bay area headlining small venues as well as being an opening act for many well known Artists at large clubs. Dammit Jim! 's video titled "The Swinger" was the opener for Wicked Dream Productions show Video Rock Central and you can occasionally see the band either hosting one of the shows or interviewing bands.
Dammit Jim!'s members have since moved on to seperate projects but you can still hear their music and even get a copy of their CD release titled "Wow, I Was Really Taken By This Chick" for the mere cost of $2.00(yes $2.00) to cover shipping expenses. Every 10th request gets their check back. Check out our website for more details. |
