Artist description
I'm not a control freak. There I said it. If you are reading this, it’s because someone, maybe yourself thought you would be interested to find out what I’m up to. My name is Todd Satterfield and I am a songwriter, I’m a singer, I play guitar/bass/drums/keys/mandolin/sugar packets/etc. That lil' disease started when my Gramma used to sit me beside her at piano lessons she gave to girls in the 70’s.I was born in Alabama in 1969, moved to the Jersey Shore when I was 15, back to Atlanta at 21, back to NYC in ‘98. It’s been interesting. During that time I’ve tried to soak up as much as i can through my ear holes. Along the way folks like Prince, ELO, Jeff Buckley, Paul Westerberg, and Thom Yorke have inspired me to great lengths. It’s funny, I have a song called Namedrop, but that's later.Ihavealsobeen trained hard in the ways of marketing and promotions at Portfolio Center in Atlanta.I have a mind for those things. So, why the homemade press kit? Well, when your done reading this, load up the mp3's on my page. For me,and most
likely you as well, it’s mostly about the music. These are home demos, fresh from my 8 track. I played everything. Sometimes, there are little mistakes. Come and get me. I love my music more than anything in the world, and I hope upon listening, you do as well. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. And for listening to what I do. If you like what you hear, feel free to contact me, I’d love an encouraging word, to trade stories, share. |
