Artist description
The real Austin power is provided by the furious rock of The Midgetmen, not Mike Myers. Combining AC/DC's massive riffage, Dinosaur Jr's noise, The Pixies' sonic joy, and the spirit of punk rock, The Midgetmen are like a delivery truck... a beer delivery truck barreling down the interstate at 95mph, the sun burnt driver drunk on malt liquor, screaming the lyrics to his favorite KISS records while giving the New York one fingered salute. |

Artist History
Formed in Austin, Texas under the shadows of dotcom fallouts, terrorist attacks, and stagnating corporate rock & roll during the fall of 2001, The Midgetmen are on a mission from some sort of beer soaked deity. The band has set out to correct the wrongs inflicted upon mankind by drop D tuned nu-metal, Clear Channel radio stations, and "premium" beer companies and they won't quit until every music fans' ears are bleeding, their skull is rattled, and their souls' cry out for the real rock and roll that is The Midgetmen.
Following a string of successful debut shows that rocked Austin's Beerland, Room 710, Red Eyed Fly, and The Vibe during the spring and summer of 2002, The Midgetmen entered their own studio to record their debut album. This highly anticipated debut promises to debunk the myth that The Strokes are the saviors of rock & roll, knock corporate rap rock from the radio, and solve world hunger. At the very least, The Midgetmen's debut will provide 17 songs guaranteed to alter the current climate of rock with its release late in 2002.
