Artist History
Scott Schmidt has been playing guitar since about the age of five. According to Scott "It has always felt natural to hold a guitar in my hands". Scott has studied other insturments (piano, drums, steel guitar), but he is most at home bending notes on his six string. Though Scott listens to many other musicians and musical styles, Jimi Hendrix and Brian May (of Queen) stand out as having the greatest infuence on his playing. In addition to playing guitar Scott enjoys "messing around" in the recording studio. Projects of particular note are; Scott's musical contribution to Steven Springer's, "Carrabbean Collection" (on the Schoolkids Label, Ann Arbor, Michigan) and Producer/Engineer/Music Director credits on Tom Hodgson's two popular children's music discs. Scott gets his biggest thrill recording and performing with his band The Quivers.
