Artist History Leonie has always had an interest in music right from an early age. Her love for music blossomed by the time she reached her teen years. By the age of 15, Leonie had thought herself how to play Keyboards and was singing, writing and preforming her own songs as part of a band in high school. Her experience grew as she went on to study music in University. She Recorded her first CD in July of 2000 and by October she had won 3 weeks running on a "Battle of the Bands" segment featured on the Australia's Hot30 countdown, Austereo. By Novemebr of 2000 one of her songs was picked to be featured and spotlighted by the well known Aussie music guru who put Australia on the map, Ian "Molly" Meldrum. Leonie went on to record more tracks in 2001, and made a finalist in the pop/rock genre in a nationally run music competition "The Musoz Challenge 2001."
