Artist History
Gavin Bellour was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and was raised on the radio of the 80’s. Throughout his young life he was fascinated by the mix of pop and rock that saturated the airwaves and additionally by 70's classics and original blues recordings that built the foundation for a century of rock and roll. In his early teens, the burgeoning local scene began to make its mark on the world, and so too in gavin's musical lexicon. Taking the intensity of hometown favorites like Seaweed and Alice In Chains, Gavin moved to Los Angeles where he attended UCLA and formed The Antics, a broad-based live outfit that combined elements of Rock, Pop and Blues while experimenting heavily with Jazz structures and Latin Rhythms. The Band was a UCLA favorite and fixture in local bars and festivals. After Recording and Producing a Full-length Album with the Antics, Gavin left LA to travel the world. For the Past year he has been writing and performing around the San Francisco Bay Area, returning to Los Angeles for an occasional gig. These days his music is mellower and more mature than before, but under the smooth and rich tones of his voice lies an intensity and soulfulness that is magnetic. His songs are full of deep questions, revelations and stories that are told through simple, infectious songwriting and melodies that get stuck in your head for days on end. |
