Artist description
Dead Society is an original four piece band hailing from Seaford, Long Island, New York. Band members Ian Collier (vocals), Andrew Davis (guitar), Pat Roberti (bass) and Adam Harris (drums) were fed up with simply listening to music; they became driven by a desire to not only listen to their favorite songs, but write them as well. Music was the shared passion that had brought them together as friends to begin with. After only a few practices, they found they had a knack for performing as well.
Andrew’s forceful riffs provide the inspiration for Ian’s emotional croons and gut-wrenching screams; Adam pounds listeners into submission with driving snare beats and thudding bass drum attacks, and Pat is the glue that holds each song together. The unique ability of Dead Society to incorporate their individual influences into their songs and come out with something completely different and inspired is what sets them apart from many bands in today’s metal/hardcore scene.
Dead Society is able to incorporate many different genres of music into their multi-faceted musical attack. Upon first listen, one may find influences ranging from metal to hardcore to post-hardcore to emo to punk. “Re-entrance” is a straightforward, pummeling hardcore attack on the senses; “XX” is a melodic departure into alternative metal; “Continuum” melds together both genres to become an entirely different animal.
Dead Society has been making the local club rounds, promoting themselves and attempting to get their foot in the door with an unrelenting “do it yourself” demeanor. Gigs at L’amour, “The Rock Capitol Of Brooklyn”, have helped expand their fan base and bring them closer to their ultimate goal of taking their act to the next level.
