Artist description Three guys from Raleigh come at ya with a cool mix of deep metallic sludge (kinda like the Melvins) noisy, Sonic Youthesque abstract elements, enough pop in it to make it catchy, and plenty of seething rock n' roll power. The Scrapers definitely have their own thing going on. Just hard enough to fit into the hardcore scene, just melodic enough to fit in with the alterna- rockers, and just strange enough to fit in with the underground noise kids. It rocks like a mutha and has such a contorted sense of melody and creativity that you can't help but take notice. If you want something hard enough to satisfy the demon in you, but you don't want just another hardcore band, you want something just a bit more daring, check out the Scrapers.
