Artist description
Solum is a four-piece band from Newark, DE. As they formed in 1998, they began innovating and breathing new life into the Delaware original music scene.
Within 5 years of performing together Solum has conquered the majority of the local venues as well as a few out-of-state. Fueled by their love of music, style and extremely powerful stage presence; they pushed their way into the finals of the first Delaware Music Festival as an all original act. With influences ranging from hip-hop to hard-core and alternative to Jazz, Solum cultivated a unique aggressive-melodic sound and a broad fan base that is constantly growing.
Solum is driven by the intricate guitar riffs of Kyle Stevens, accompanied by the deep thumping of Creole’s bass lines, rounded out and tightened by the hard hitting rhythms of Ryan Coyne and completed by the lyrics and vocal versatility of Pete DiSabatino.
They recorded their first album "splinter" at White Clay Creek Studios in 2001 and has, since then, written more than enough material to begin recording another. Solum looks forward to growing as a band and as individual musicians. They are label ready and willing to travel.
