Artist History
NORIKA (pronounced know-REEKA) is the latest musical
offering from Jon Witteveen. Jon describes NORIKA as
alternative rock rooted in the fundamentals of Christianity,
music geared not only toward the church but anyone
searching for a spiritual center. A songwriter, in and
out of bands for the past 15+ years, and a Christian
for the better part of his 28 years, Jon is committed
to spreading the message of Jesus' unconditional love
to all who will listen. Jon's songs touch on a number
of timeless topics, spiritual and otherwise, and are
always emotionally dense, lyrically and musically. Jon
prefers to describe his music as "moving". Hence the name
NORIKA, which is Japanese for "transfer" or "to move".
Jon's desire is for the music of NORIKA a moving experience
but, more importantly, a means through which GOD will move
and change lives forever.
Jon is happily married with one child and lives in Kernersville,
NC.
