Artist History
The seeds for Wicked World were actually sown in the mid 1980's when Scott and Freddy
had a little band called "SUSPICION". Always in need of a drummer, Scott had brought Jimmy
into the studio for an audition, but due to problems between Jimmy and the guitar player at
the time, Jimmy decided not to join. After SUSPICION's run ended about 10 years later, Scott and Freddy
parted ways - but still kept in touch. Joe was a successful musician who was currently between bands when
Scott started jamming with him in early 2000, doing some blues and 70's metal. In need of a drummer, Scott
hooked back up with Jimmy and one of Jimmy's friends playing bass. But Scott and Joe wanted something harder...
something heavier... and Scott called up Freddy to try out with the new band. What happened during that audition
was magic, and the band was formed. By early 2001, the band was ready to do shows, but had no name. Upon booking their
first gig, Joe was asked the name of the band by the club owner, and due to the amount of Black Sabbath songs in our set,
Joe spurted out WICKED WORLD - and the name has stuck since then!!! |
