Artist description
Vers draws on the sounds and rhythms of jungle and dark ambient to create melodically minimalistic and rhythmically dense instrumental music and soundscapes which shy from traditional instrumentation and form. Vers embraces the visceral sound of digital distortion and thrives on the manipulation of everyday sounds. |

Press Reviews
This release, from one-man mastermind Vers out of Lowell, MA is the reason I love doing what I do. Finding new music like this is like finding a million dollars in your cereal box. Checking out the virtual player on their homepage, I was intrigued by the dance beats. When I actually received Vers and played it on my home speakers, it didn't leave my cd player for weeks. Low Light, Slow Film and Alcohol is masterful; breakbeats, synth lines, piano, tractor trailer trucks all woven together like a tapestry; the progression catches you totally off guard, surprises, delights. When the song kicks in you feel like you're going to cry or explode or cum, and man that makes for a great dance record. This album is too tight to be a debut, these songs are too good to forget. Component Records is going to be really jealous they didn't catch this guy. Holy F___ you need to buy this album RIGHT NOW!
