Artist History Well, Szeg is really not in the line of trendy top10 pop groups. Szeg is from the cream of genuine, indisputable modern rock music. The members of the band – established in 1999 – earlier played in well-known Hungarian bands, meaning the musicians of Necropsia and Trident and also the distinguished members of Beholder. This would be partially enough to success, however, this is not what Szeg wants. It does not want to walk through the same way the members did with their former bands. We should admit, the World changed a lot since the mid 1990s, and so did the Hungarian taste in music. Szeg does not want – and unfortunately cannot – undertake the challenge of current trends, rather it operates in its own field of expertise, i.e. hard, swell rock music, with sometimes serious, or more funny lyrics. The latter – i.e. the lyrics – are not characterized by the dominance of agony and sorrow in rock music, but the colorful, topic-based nature.
