Artist description
George Peguero 'El Clarín'is a London-based singer
and songwriter from Cuba who lives and breathes
salsa.
George is a dynamic performer with a distinctive
voice which is both sensual and thrilling. All the
music he does is original and combines Afro-Cuban
rhythms with elements of hip-hop and rap, creating
a melodic but very exciting sound. |

Artist History
George comes from Santiago de Cuba in Cuba and
since small he has been singing, writing songs and
playing guitar. While still a child he won many
national singing competitions and appeared
several times on Cuban TV.
Later in Havana he joined Charanga Latina as a
singer and songwriter and had a number one hit
with 'Firma com papel'. He performed alongside
a number of Cuban greats such as Alfredo de la Fé,
Rolo Martinez, Manolita y Trabuco, Pablo F G and
La Charanga Habanera.
George is now working from London where he made
his first solo appearance as support to Gilberto
Santa Rosa.
Earlier this year he produced his first CD 'A Cuba'
which he has been promoting through his own salsa
band
