Artist History
Hailing from the southern reaches of the state of Maine, Kaio breeds new life into the hardcore and metal music scenes with their combination of the two genres as well as adding their own personal touches and interpretations of what the music form can be. Taking note from such influences as Atreyu, Unearth, Zao, and Glassjaw, Kaio utilizes gutteral and earth shaking screams, blissful vocal harmonies, punishing breakdowns, and technical guitar riffs to create their brand of music. With a positive message and a need to succeed, the band hopes to make an impact on the thriving metalcore scene. Their new EP, "An Epitaph For The Rain" will be available in February 2003, and with another release and an East Coast tour on the horizon, much can be expected from this up-and-coming group of musicians. |
