Artist History Founders Jason Slatton and Russ Hallauer starting writing and recording together as The Lures late in 1995 with a revolving roster of musicians, but it wasn’t until 1997 — with the addition of bassist Larry Tenner and the permanent drafting of drummer Clay Leverett — that the group truly came together as a unit.
