Artist description On stage ten Athlone is a five piece band out of Johannesburg, playing a mixture of tunes with strong melodic and harmony structures, with a slightdark alternative tinge. Off stage the band is Jose on vocals and guitar, and Isabel on piano, cello, violin, and whatever new instrument she learns to play.

Artist History Formed two years ago, by Mark Sykes, and Jose Vaz.ten Athlone was a semi finalist in the Battle of the Bandsand have supported charity concerts in aid of Animal Anti Cruelty.The band has also had songs included on two compilationCD released only in the UK.Early in 2000 Mark left the band, which placed Jose on lead vox.

Press Reviews This leaves my favourite three tracks, the first one being ` Perfect World ' by ten Athlone (correct spelling!) a lovely melodic piece which I love, probably because it is reminiscent of Bryan McLean's songs with the band ' Love ' which for me is high praise indeed ! !
