Press Reviews FIGHT AMNESIA! (Spring 1994)Get your black coats and your candles. For this is real gothic rock in the 80ies style. Simple songs with no surprisíng breaks or whatever, just songs that live from the atmosphere they create. Really nothing new but familiar things don't need to be bad. Just listen to 'Submission' ( a hit in the best dark wave tradition) or 'Following Day' (reminds me of the good old Christian Death days) and you'll know what I mean. The 80ies are still here!'Jens Gellner’FIGHT AMNESIA! (7th issue, Autumn 1995)I used to know T.O.P. as a powerful Gothic Rock band with an 'insane' singer who had something by Rozz Williams' obscurity in his voice, something which can still be heard on 'Following Day', which is a kinda 'Romeo's Distress' song. T.O.P.'s line-up has been meanwhile reduced to a three piece, which is in my opinion an unfortunate development since the absence of the bass guitarist and the drums have a negative effect on the band. The band has decided to move on mainly electro/goth paths, but since they don't have experience in this and not the right feeling for electronic arrangements, the engagement of the keyboards and drum-computers sound quite painful. The songs don't have any atmosphere, but sound very flat and give you the feeling that these here are bored musicians at work... . An exception is the piano ballad 'Angel', the Post Punk, Joy Division-like 'Submission'. What I cannot understand is how you can put a romantic piano ballad close to an EBM song and still call the album 'a homogeneous work'...'Janis'NOISING THERAPY (No 13/'96)Le nouvel album de T.O.P. est désormais disponible. Douze titres sont présentés dont trois issus de leurs précédentes démos. Ce quatuor allemand propose une musique dynamique et percutante grâce aux guitares de plus en plus en avant, comparé à 'Desperation'. Leur style varie entre gothic, électro, rock, punk. Vous êtes sûr de trouver une chanson à votre guôt. Une musique très hétérogène et diversifiée, tout comme la voix de Gordon Rausch, tantôt mélodieuse, tantôt criante ou complètement distordue. Les meilleurs morceaux sont 'Following day' et l'excellent 'Final War' (électro-techno de premier choix). Enfin, notons la pochette cartonnèe du CD. Grosso modo, une production assez plaisante.'Krach 444'LES LUMIERES DU DESIR (No 4 été 1996)Animés par le métal et l'air punk, les membres de TEARS OF PASSION usent de cette influence grâce à de puissants jeux de guitares, et y ajoutent des sonorités plus douces (utilisation du clavier). Le métissage de ces styles est très satisfaisant, á l'image de "Dark Ruler" ou encore de "Despair". Le résultat final reste donc relativement bien varié allant de titres durs ("Blinded by love") à des ballades ("Angel", "Trust in mind") en passant par des morceaux plus dansants comme "Final War". Cet album assez difficile d'accés au premier abord demande quelques écoutes assidues avant de porter un jugement. Laisser yous guider par ce tumulte d'émotions et d'atmospères différentes, vous verrez on prend son pied...'Les yeux de l'ibad'
