Artist History
Dusty has been playing drums in various pop/rock bands since 1989 - resulting in dozens of demos tapes, a 7" ep, 6 self released albums, one international release on the prestigious PopLlama label (the Presidents of the USA, Fastbacks, Young Fresh Fellows, and many more), and hundreds of live performances throughout the Pacific Northwest, California and Alaska. He began writing his own material in 1995 and released his first solo album, 'At Last We're to Aurora' two years later. In the Spring of '99, Dusty amicably departed from the succesful pop group, Nevada Bachelors, and set out to forge new musical territory under the pseudonym, Prince Igor of Burma. Christmas '99 saw the release of PIB's second full length album, 'Alpha Zenith' on Dusty's own recording label, PopRobot Productions. Recently, Dusty has taken to the drumkit again to make time for up and coming popsters, Electrokitty, Ants Invasion, and the Gavin Guss Trio - he has also contributed to: Ruston Mire, the Congratulators, the Maxx Average Corporation and the Screaming Santas. |

Press Reviews
Refusing to be limited to the confines of a single genre, Prince Igor of Burma sifts through everything he's heard and loved, recycling it into wonderfully eclectic pop songs. Alt-country, Indie Rock, acoustic Folk and Power Pop-influenced, falsetto-crooned, rudimentary ballads; nothing is too sacred to co-opt into his sound... his tuneful melodies are inescapably catchy from beginning to end... a listen to his music is like a trip to the candy store, with a different taste waiting to be sampled with every song. - www.listen.com |
