Artist History
Australian goth/metal band Meridian was an act who many saw to hold great promise. Major UK indie label Music For Nations released "Sundown Empire" in Dec '96. Unfortunately, problems within the band led to a split not long after.
Finally, Meridian vocalist David Wilkinson returns with the distinctive sound of “One”.
Beginning August '98 - the initial 4 song release "Receive the Word" (Dec '98) garnered a strong underground media response, now - the debut album from One cometh...
Building further on the darkwave soundscapes of previous work, One heads in a more electronic direction. Based heavily on themes of loss and
desire the tracks feature strong choruses wrapped in subversive undertones. The 11 track album "Walk the Mercy Mile" was released Worldwide on Nightbreed Recordings (UK) on Sept. 6th '99. |
