Artist description
Formed in 1998, with this current line-up, Oblivion fuses the Lyrical brutality of Deicide and CannibalCorpse with the guitar orchestration of Morbid Angel and Pantera. Backed with thundering drums and a bass playing powerhouse. Oblivion is one of the hardest hitting death metal bands to come out of Central Valley,California. Many bands of alike genre have emerged in the underground Death Metal scene, but Oblivion is theonly band in its location to bestow the brutality and over all strong structured repitwa that they've created. |

Artist History
Allthough it seems Oblivion has only been around for a short period of time, they actually date back to 1995. From 1995 to late 1997 Oblivion consisted of five musicians, Donnie and Ron (from the current lign up,) Jeff Price(bass,) Kevin Furtado(Rythem Guitars,) and Aaron Cupp(Vocals). After playing countless shows in theirlocal area, and dragging through a long year of daily practice sessions, the band seperated after a heatedarguement. A month later Ron Fuentez ran into Donnie Creekmore at his place of occupation. After talkingover their problems the two decided that Oblivion needed to make a strong come back. With new musicians, more experience, and the drive to become successful, Oblivion was ready for anything that could be presentedto them. Unsigned as of yet, Oblivion seeks mayor exposure and a record contract from any uncompromisingrecord lebel. |
