    Artist description
Seven bands appear on the website: Paper Boys: This Teamster group formed when the two Detroit newspapers announced a combination in a court-approved monopoly in 1986. Detroit CWAC: A pickup band of strikers and supporters; the name was inspired at the founding convention of the Labor Party in 1996. Anne Feeney: The Pittsburgh-based "queen of labor rock 'n' roll" is president of the Pittsburgh Musicians Union, and visited our picket lines many times. Finland Station: A folk band in Detroit in the 1980s specializing in vocal harmonies. Billy Bragg and Ian McLagan: Need no introduction. Blue Spirit Tribe: A blues band led by Keith Owens, editorial writer for the locked-out workers' Detroit Sunday Journal. Voices of Solidarity: Led by Elise Bryant of the Meany Labor Center in DC.
