Artist History Several years ago, after bearing witness to those executions, John and I set out on a course traversing the desert sands of New Mexico, USA. For protection, we were cloaked in barbed wire from shoulder to waist carrying only a shovel and a canteen. As the days wore on, we come upon this town, Shakesville, where we run into an old scalawag from a bygone era. So I says to him, I says, "Ay, ol' timer, where's the nearest cotton field?" He lifts up this reptilian looking object (could have been his finger, for all I know) points to the right and coughs out, "'At-a-way." But I couldn't see nuthin' but more sand. John kept hearing motorbikes whiz by in his dehydrated head, and I was stuck with that familiar cotton blossom feeling I've told you about before. I know it ain't a pretty story, but I keep it close to my chest if'n those miners ever got out alive and come a-lookin' fer me.
