Artist History
Formed a little over two years ago in a small town on the border of Oregon and Idaho 60 miles from Boise, Maggie'sWood members Aaron (drums), Alex (bass), Jeff (guitars), and Ben (vocals) created an original blend between "Emo-Alternative/Heavy-rock/acoustic-funk. The Bands Debut demo cut in Seattle Wa. two years ago, gave Maggie'sWood 2 hit songs on MP3.com and a large gathering of loyal fans. This inspired Maggie'sWood to go and record a full album back in Seattle Wa., that when released produced the bands first fm-Radio hit song, debuting on Magic 93.1fm Boise idaho, against David Grays first radio single on the stations smash or trash show. "where you Go" gained the most votes to date for a song debut on the station, receiving the title of "smackdown winner" and being put into rotation as the number "9" most requested song of the day following acts like papa roach, matchbox 20, and creed. Then in a matter of 24 hrs after the bands debut, Maggie'sWood unseated Creed to be the number "1" most requested song of the day, the station was flooded with requests for several weeks, no band had ever acheived a jump like this in the stations history, let alone an unsigned band from Boise Idaho. since Topling bands like Papa Roach, Blink 182, David Gray, Creed, Backstreet Boys, Pink, Ricky Martin, and Matchbox 20 for the top spot on Magic 93.1fm, Maggie'sWood has played stages and packed clubs all over the Northwest,to include the 2000 B.O.B. Warped Tour stage, and seen radio play on several fm stations. Maggie'sWood has recently been to los Angeles to record a second full album, that will be released later this year. with a more refined and tighter sound this new album is going to blow away the bands first release. Maggie'sWood is currently writing a third album to release on the world in the near future, and hopefully under a major label with the help of there many fans, and the best music this band has ever Made to date!!!!
