Artist description Musically, filigree is a fusion of ambient, pop and downtempo. filigree began as a collaboration between songwriter Brian Spooner and vocalist Carina Ymana but has grown to include Mark Stewart on drums and Flora on bass. The band began in early 2000, debuting their first album in August of the same year. That album was very well received on several college radio stations and was second on their weekly charts in early September. A song from the band (Mister) was included on the Capitol Theater recording 'Sessions 2001'. Lately, they're busy at work on their second album, where you can hear the influences of David Sylvian, Portishead and Massive Attack. You can look forward to many different songs that span many genres, but always have something to say.
