Artist History
Erase has been together since 1995. After a few member changes early on, Erase found themselves a solid line-up in late 1995. After putting this new band to test for six months in live venues, Erase locked themselves in the studio for two weeks with Engin eer Fab Delmonte and recorded their first full length album, Mental Overload. After two drummer changes, a bass player change and playing shows for over a year and a half solid, Erase took a needed break. Four months had pass and Jason(Vocals/Guitar) want e d to get things rolling again, the other members had moved on to other projects or had family commitments to tend to, so Jason started writing songs and finding new players to fill the vacancies. Barry Branigan took over on drums, Lyle Robertson came i n t o play bass and switch to guitar, when a bass player could be found. Lyle being a guitar made this transition easily. Enter new bass player Brent Mackenzie, Jason found the new Erase bass player when he saw Brent play with his band, Omnisight, anot h e r lo cal area band. Now the line-up was set and the recorded could begin! Armed with 16 songs to record, Erase again entered the studio with Fab Delmonte to record the follow up to Mental Overload. Erase began recording in February of 1999 and has con t in ue d until August of 2000, mixing is slated for the first half September of 2000. The new album is entitled Soulscape.Erase currently has one indie CD Mental Overload and are working on their second CD, entitled Soulscape.a

Press Reviews
VARIETY MUSIC...
"angry & heavy"
NECRONOMICON...
"Most new groove metal bands suck. But not these guys. They can go from being aggressive, too having a melodic background, and still being aggressive. It actually probably took them time to thi nk up the songs and melodies instead of taking 5 minutes to write a mosh song like most new crappy bands do. This song is one of the more hardcore songs of what they do, but if you want to hear what I'm talking about go to www.mp3.com/erase to listen to m ore songs. Kind of reminds me of old Machine Head. Enjoy."
METAL AGGRESSION...
"Powerfull songs with smashing lyrics"
BERLIN ROCKS...
"Faith No More and Suicidal Tendencies have shown us that Metalcore can be still melodic. "ERASE" foll ow this tradition and have an ear for the songwriting in between all the shouting which the genre has prescribed.""˛ |
