Artist History
Dilithium Meltdown is a Electronic\Big Beat\Freestyle\Trance\Drum’n’Bass\
group from the ghetto’s of Tampa,Fl USA. Dilithium Meltdown are Miguel
Castro aka “Belial” and James Varas aka “Skwa”. Dilithium Meltdown’s
music incorporates soul pounding bass, breakbeats, synth , roland 303s,
sound effects and a truly awe-inspiring psychedelic experience, which
invokes audio hallucinations. The duo has transcended the norm of
techno today and have created a truly MUSICAL electronic experience
with an emphasis on its content. But most amazing of all ,Dilithium
Meltdown, wrote and produced ,composed, performed, and digitally
mastered there debut album from there bedroom studio in the West Tampa
ghetto, on a mere 1,000 dollar budget! The albums clarity is so amazing
, that its recommended the use of a hi-fi stereo surround sound system
to experience the full force of the Dilithium Meltdown experience.
Dilithium Meltdown’s brings a fusion of their influences which range
from, oldschool hip-hop, 60’s psycadelic, classical, to funk. The duo
did not have the resources, as other electronic musicians have, of
buying many instruments and equipment normally needed to record a
professional album. All Dilithium Meltdown had was two computers, a
keyboard, a bass guitar , an electric guitar, a turn table, and their
passion. They have gone past the boundaries of what can be done and
expected from a low-budget home recording, to create a testament to
what can be achieved when you go past the boundaries of what can’t be
done. To prove there amazing accomplishment, Dilithium Meltdown has
released 2 full tracks in high-quality MP3 or Real Audio.
To those who haven’t experienced Dilithium
Meltdown or just don’t believe the hype , you will get your chance to
decide and give feedback of what you’ve heard |
