Artist description Cage Decay is a project that seeks to explore the art of sound manipulation. There is rarely a political viewpoint, nor are there even lyrics. The musik stands for itself, as each song is a culmination of carely crafted loops, noises and drones that creates its own atmosphere. It is, in essence, headphone music.

Musical Influences Skinny Puppy, Shinjuku Filth, old :w:, das ich, Numb, X-Dream, later Coil, various David Thrussel projects.

Similar Artists Umm ... at times the more rhythmic elements of Ant-Zen artists (Imminent Starvation), at times a little of Shinjuku Filth, at other times ... just Cage Decay.

Artist History Cage Decay began over a year ago, beginning first as a hard techno project following in the vein of more technical German trance artists like Surgeon. However, the sound has evolved into slightly more abstract beats, with more thought and time put into crafting the underlying soundscapes. The project swings from several genres now, encompassing classic techno with noisy ambience.
