Artist description
To the uninitiated, prepare to be hit by the freight train now known as LAMB OF GOD. Formerly BURN THE PRIEST, the band shed it's skin and released the genre revolutionizing 'New American Gospel' with producer Steve Austin (Today is the Day) on September 26, 2000 (Prosthetic/Metal Blade Records). Fast and furious, technical and precise, these songs tore apart the scene like a surgeon turned serial killer. A little southern groove for flavor, along with a vocalist that sounds like an escaped mental patient on dust...precise guitar work, technical drums, and crushing bass lines only begin to give a picture of what this band is like. The band strikes back on May 6, 2003 with the highly anticipated release of their follow-up 'As the Palaces Burn' recorded in December of 2002 with producer Devin Townsend. This is the soundtrack to the apocalypse. All others will be judged accordingly. Sparing no expense once again, the band worked with graphic illustrator K3N Adams (www.k3n.com) on the packaging, a man with a twisted vision of his own. This is Pure American Metal at it's very best. This band is destined to destroy everything in it's path... |
