Artist History BokkeReidars Bluesband started up in Volda in 1982. Volda is a rather small place on the west coast of Norway, a little south of Ålesund. After a few years the band was established as one of the most popular and hardswinging livebands in the country, playing blues, rythm'n blues, soul and rock. In 1991 the biggest and most popular jazzfestival in Norway, Molde International Jazzfestival, hired BRBB for five concerts. Conclusion: Everything sold out! The critics wondered if not Bokkereidars Bluesband were even more popular than many of the big international jazzstars. After these events BRBB has visited most of the other musicfestivals in Norway. The band was also hired to play during the opening day of Lillehammer Olympic Wintergames in 1994. BRBB has also played on national television. Bokkereidars Bluesband was the first band in Norway that played a concert LIVE on the Internett. This happened in 1986, during a concert in Smuget in Oslo.
